Polytech - What's this?

The Polytechnic of Namibia is one of a few institutes of tertiary education in Namibia. The countrie's technical workforce is being educated here; some of the subjects offered are:

Nature Conservation,
Land Measurement,
Hospitality Management, Tourism
Electrical, Electronic and Civil Engineering,
Public Administration,
Police Science,
Accounting, Economics, Human Ressource Management,
Business Computing, Software Engineering, Information Technology.

Most students graduate from Polytechnic with a three years degree, the National Diploma. Due to the demand for internationally recognized qualifications some departments, including our own one, offer now also a four-year B.Tech. degree.

"Our" department

The Department of Information Technology is the fastest growing section of the Polytechnic. We've got the largest budget and the most offices and labs. Unfortunately, the lowest pass rate is also ours.
